Wishful Wednesday

WW2

To my readers in Greater Virginia, from Make-A-Wish:

Make-A-Wish® Greater Virginia is in great need of Wish Granter volunteers!  Wish granters work directly with our children and their families to determine the child’s one true wish.  These volunteers play an instrumental role in helping to plan, create and fulfill the child’s wish.  These specially trained volunteers make the wish an unforgettable experience through their attention to detail and imagination.  Wish granters volunteer their time around their own schedule and spend an average of one to two hours per month, per wish.  To be a wish granter, you must be at least 21 years old, complete a background check and complete wish granter training.

Below are the locations and dates for Wish Granter training.  If you are interested in signing up for one of these training sessions, please contact Penny Jordan at pjordan@va.wish.org or call 804-217-9474.

Harrisonburg – March 15, 2014

Fredericksburg – April 12, 2014

WHAT I’M WISHING FOR

I’m really wishing for a day at the spa.  A massage or a facial would be really nice.

I’m also wishing it was somewhat easier to tackle my monstrous to-do list.  Maybe I can find a spa deal on Groupon as a reward if I ever conquer that beast of a list?

What are you currently wishing for?
